My husband had a conference in Ascona area and we were recommended by a colleague to this hotel, for which we were quite grateful. Once the conference was over we could thoroughly enjoy this hotel together! The staff was charming, gracious, helpful and professional from the front desk, to the breakfast staff to the dinner wait staff. The public areas of the hotel were welcoming and beautifully appointed. The rooms were immaculate, comfortable and stunning with large balconies overlooking the lake and mountains. Our bathroom had a window that one could open and peek at the mountains in the shower! The breakfast was one of the nicest that we experienced during two weeks in Europe – delicious breads, pastries, cereals, fruits – everything was fresh and beautifully presented, and even better to be able to sit on the terrace and enjoy it. There is a beautiful pool area, whirlpool, sauna, and many people seemed to come to the hotel year after year. One of the highlights was our dinner on the terrace. Absolutely delicious, excellent service – one of the best dinners of our trip. I would HIGHLY recommend without hesitation.
